Arran 6 th Annual Sale
Summary: Ave $3,300
Top $4,250
Despite the less than ideal seasonal conditions,
the 6 th Annual Booroomba Bull sale on October 15 achieved
a very pleasing result with the Arran breeding program once
again being endorsed by commercial cattle breeders. Brisk
bidding ensured a solid sale even though the goats were sorely
missed!!!
The Brafords achieved a near total clearance
and a solid sale average of $3300 with new and repeat commercial
buyers underpinning the market. Once again Arran Warlock's
progeny topped the sale with a poll son selling to Warren
Wilson of Taroela Brafords for top price of $4250. Five sons
of second season sire Montello Kerrod (P) averaged an impressive
$3800. Second top price of $4000 was reached on 4 different
occasions. Regular and long time supporters, Gundy Partnership
of Moree, finished the day with 3 bulls averaging $3833.and
Cam Crumlin of Dirranbandi with 3 bulls averaging $3166.
We were pleased to have several new buyers in attendance
one of whom, Coocalla Pastoral Co, finished with 3 bulls
in their first venture into Brafords.
Once again we were grateful for the attendance
and support of fellow Braford breeders, many of who travelled
long distances to be with us on the day. We thank you very
much and your presence is very much appreciated.
