COMPULSORY REQUIREMENTS
All registered animals must have DNA sire verification by Pedigree Nomination on 8th June 2026.
No DNA Sire Verification means the animal can only be sold as a commercial animal.
Up-to-date vaccinations for 3-day sickness and 3 germ blood [as per manufacturers’ instructions for use]. National Cattle Health Declaration to be filled in with dates of the above vaccinations, as well as any other vaccinations and treatments the animal has had, and presented with relevant paperwork at the sale.
Pompes E7 results must be negative for all sale animals including the sire of PTIC / Semen package / calf at foot.
All Pompes results must be received at the office by 8th June 2026 or the animal will NOT BE IN THE SALE DRAW.
Soundness Evaluation and Semen test [Minimum 40%] by Vet on AACV form
Cow with calf or positive PTIC from 24 months by Vet on AACV form
All cattle must be ear tagged with lot number and NLIS tag, and paint branded with their lot number prior to being presented for scanning
Commercial/herd bulls offered at the National Braford Bull Sale must be eligible to pass classification inspection
All vendors of the National Braford Bull Sale must hold public liability insurance of $20,000,000, and a copy of the Certificate of Currency must be sent to the office with pedigree nominations
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
Vendors must be fully paid financial members of the Australian Braford Society at the time of number nomination for nominations to be accepted
Vet testing can be done 12 weeks prior [15th June 2026] to Sale and AACV forms/Vet certificates are to be received by the office by NO LATER THAN Monday 31st August 2026
Readable Fire Brand [registered Brand + animal ID on all registered animals, herd bulls and commercial females]
Aged Bulls must be 43 months or older
No – Brindling, Double Muscling or Excessive Freckling
Must have at least a full white blaze from top of head to the nose
Must not have excessive white
Sheath to be of moderate development – not too loose or tight. Pendulous or excessively tight is not allowable and sheath hanging below the line of knee/hock is too loose
A herd bull cannot open the sale as Lot 1.
All bulls sold as herd bulls at the National Sale are eligible for classification only and not eligible for full registration.
Commercial members may offer a maximum of three herd bulls at the National Sale.
Financial junior members may offer one registered bull and two registered females per year.
Vendors selling through multiple agents must supply each agent with the required paperwork, including NVD, Health Declaration, Tick Declaration, and any other relevant documents.
OPTIONAL
Morphology testing within 6 months of the sale. Beginning on 15th March, results being received by 31st August 2026.
Mouthing by a vet on AACV form.

Failure to comply with Sale Terms and Conditions can mean disqualification and no refund of money paid.
SALE DRAW RULES
If a vendor is drawn first or last in the sale, that vendor cannot be first or last in the draw the following year.
