FarmFest 2022 – Supreme Exhibit

Neil Pacholke and Leanne Ridley of Sunny Lawn Brafords, Clifton QLD, were thrilled to be awarded the Supreme Exhibit at this year’s FarmFest competition.

Sunny Lawn Dresden 1449 along with her heifer calf, Sunny Lawn Dresden 1522 were on display at the Braford site over the three days of FarmFest and was entered in the Fantastic Female Competition on the Thursday of the field days.

She was successful in winning the Senior Tropical Female section, then went on to be awarded the Fantastic Female of FarmFest.

She then went out for the Supreme Exhibit award, against the Champion Battle of the Bulls winner, an angus bull exhibited by K5X Angus, Steve Hayward and Kelllie Smith of Allora Qld.
Judge Hillary O’Leary spoke positively of both exhibits, and in the end our Braford cow and calf unit was awarded the Supreme title due her structural correctness, length, depth and beautiful udder on the cow. He stated that her calf was outstanding.

Dresden 1449 is 30 months and her calf, 5 months old, have been successful previously with Senior Champion Braford Female at Pittsworth show. At the Braford feature show held at St George at the start of May, she was Reserve Senior Champion Female and apart of the Pair of Females and Breeders group winning teams for Sunny Lawn.

Females like this do not come along regularly, with such an amazing udder and structure with femineity. Her calf is a true credit to her.

We are so proud of this win and thank all the sponsors and organisers of the competitions at FarmFest 2022.
